In 1997, Beebe Medical Center established the Department of Integrative Health, specializing in the integration of conventional medicine and alternative health practices. Emphasis is on the concept of wellness and disease prevention. Education is a major part of the department, including public speaking engagements, group activities, and individual educational sessions.
