Antionette felt a lump in her breast that she learned on Valentine’s Day 2005 was cancer. It was in an early stage and following treatment, test results have been good. But her life has changed.

My faith grew stronger, and I am at peace,” she says. “It made me realize what really matters the most in life.”

Antionette says that she has become an advocate for women with breast cancer and wants to help them learn about nutrition. She believes that cancer can be impacted by what we eat and drink. She and her sister studied nutrition in New York and graduated as certified holistic health counselors. Antionette has done some speaking at The Wellness Community and hopes to counsel cancer patients in nutrition.

Antionette works as a senior paralegal in elder law at the Community Legal Aid office in Georgetown, where she loves helping her clients.
