Since 1998, Beebe Medical Center’s Wound Care Services Department has provided services for the community. Beebe Medical Center’s Wound Care Services offers interdisciplinary
and comprehensive wound care treatment. It is estimated that
an average of 5 million people suffer from chronic wounds. This statistic doesn’t take into account the many people who suffer from wounds that go untreated. Patients may have wounds
that can lead to serious infection, gangrene, and, possibly, amputation.

Additional services offered by Beebe Medical Center’s Wound Care Services/Diabetes Management include:

• Wound Care
• Foot & Nail Care/Hygiene
• Footwear Assessment
• Diabetes Management Classes
• Individual Diabetes Consultation
• Ostomy Care & Education Consultations
• Follow-up Care.

The Wound Care Services/Diabetes Management team works in close collaboration with the individual’s primary care physician, and referrals are required. Team members include Bonnie Cunningham, R.N., MS, CWOCN, CS, wound care specialist; Lisa Townshend R.N., CWOCN, wound care specialist; Christina Trout, R.N., MS, CDE, CS, certified diabetes educator; Corey Marshall-Steele, patient services representative; and Dr. Mansour Saberi, medical director. The Center also has the support of Beebe Medical Center’s Physical Therapy, Nutrition, and Vascular Lab departments.

Wound Care Services/Diabetes Management hours are by appointment only.
