The babysitter course at Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Medical Center is an interactive program designed for those 12–13 years old. The program is a fun way for participants to learn about babysitting as a business, growth and development, first aid, CPR, and fire safety. Each student is provided a babysitter booklet, babysitter bag, and certificate of completion. At the conclusion of the one-day program, babysitters will be better prepared to care for, communicate, and play with children of all ages.
The course is taught by the faculty at The School of Nursing with special presentations from a Delaware State Trooper and a Delaware State Fire School instructor. The class is traditionally offered later in June after local schools have been dismissed for summer break. Please call 302-645-3251 for any questions you may have or to place your name on a waiting list for mailings. Classes fill early and payment secures registration in the course on a first-come basis. Students must bring a bag lunch with them to class. Drinks and snacks are provided.
