Rebecca Mapes, a first-year student at Beebe School of Nursing, is this year’s recipient of the Village Improvement Association (VIA) of Rehoboth scholarship. Ms. Mapes resides in Milford and is employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant while attending Beebe School of Nursing.

The VIA of Rehoboth, a member of General Federation of Women’s Club (GFWC), sponsors a scholarship for a first-year or senior Beebe School of Nursing student. The student must be a Sussex County resident, non-traditional student, have at least a B average in the nursing courses, and demonstrate financial need.

“The Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth is pleased and proud to support and encourage the nursing students at Beebe School of Nursing,” remarked Agnes Prendergast, VIA President. “The Beebe School of Nursing offers an outstanding program - a needed program and a needed service to our area.”
