Beebe School of Nursing invites those interested in entering the rewarding and challenging field of nursing to attend the School's Open House on Thursday, October 19, 2006, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Ginny Rickards, MEd, RN, Director of Admissions, will be conducting information sessions at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to discuss educational opportunities at Beebe School of Nursing. The School is located at the rear of the Beebe Medical Center's main campus on Savannah Road in Lewes.
Beebe's nursing education program is known for offering comprehensive nursing education, providing education in basic nursing concepts, advanced technology, and critical care nursing. This open house is for students interested in applying to the Evening/Weekend alternative program, which will begin in October 2007. This will be a three-year curriculum that will provide optimal, hands-on clinical experience that is more accessible due to the proximity of Beebe Medical Center. An open house will be held on November 16, 2006, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., for those interested in the two-year day curriculum.
Upon completion of the program, graduates are well prepared for licensure and entry-level nursing practice. Students can earn a bachelor's degree in one additional year through an articulation agreement with Wilmington College.
Pre-Requisite College Courses and certification as a Nursing Assistant are required prior to enrollment in the Beebe School Nursing program. For more information, call Beebe School of Nursing at (302) 645-3251.
