Beebe Medical Center, through Creative Collaboration, Wins Six National Healthcare Marketing Awards in 2011

"The teamwork of Beebe Medical Center's Marketing and Communications Department and Dean Design/Marketing Group was honored with awards in three national healthcare and service industry marketing competitions during 2011.

In all three competitions, national panels of judges evaluated Beebe Medical Center's publications for execution, creativity, quality, consumer appeal, and overall content.

In the prestigious 2011 Aster Awards competition, The Beacon, Beebe Medical Center's quarterly marketing publication, won a gold award. Beebe Medical Center's Cancer Survivor Calendar that highlights Tunnell Cancer Center and recognizes its patients, won a Gold Award in the calendar division.

The 28th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, a competition among healthcare marketing professionals, also recognized The Beacon with a Gold Award, and awarded a bronze award to the Cancer Survivor's Calendar. The winners were chosen from nearly 4,000 entries.

In the 8th Annual Service Industry Advertising Awards competition, The Beacon earned a Gold award, and the Cancer Survivor Calendar received a merit award.

The creative team on these projects included: Susan Towers, Beebe Medical Center public relations specialist and publications editor; Nancy Cummings, public relations coordinator; designer Lisa Miley, director of healthcare marketing services at Dean Design/Marketing Group; Jane Dean, president of Dean Design/Marketing Group and art director; and photographers Kevin Fleming and Scott Nathan.

The overall goal of our marketing efforts is to improve the health of those living in and visiting the communities that we serve, says Kelly Griffin, Director of Marketing and Communications at Beebe Medical Center. One of the ways we do this is to educate consumers about what actions they can take to prevent illness and disease, as well what services we offer at Beebe Medical Center.
